Speculation that Jay-Z has a secret son with Trinidadian video vixen Shenelle Scott is circulating again — but the same man who reportedly put the story back out there now denies it.
Jerald Andrews, a man who once thought he was the boy's grandfather, told Star Magazine that DNA tests proved definitively that Jay-Z was the dad of the now 9-year-old tyke.
But when contacted Wednesday by The Daily News, Andrews, 67, denied having any first-hand knowledge there was a DNA test.
"I know Shenelle, but I've never spoken to her or my son about this. They're very private people. The stuff about the DNA test was on the Internet. It's all from an old article on the Internet," he said. "I don't know if it's true."
According to Star Magazine, Andrews recently sat down for an exclusive interview to discuss the heartbreak endured by his son Malik Sayeed.
"At the time (the baby) was born, my son Malik thought he was his child, but they did DNA tests," Andrews reportedly told Star. "It's been determined that (the child is) Jay-Z's baby."
The love child story first surfaced in 2007, but Jay-Z's camp vehemently denied any connection.
"There is no truth to these ridiculous rumors," the rapper's rep told AllHipHop.com. "People should be ashamed of using this kind of story and exploiting a child for publicity and ratings."
Attempts to reach Jay-Z, 41, and his reps regarding the new Star report were not immediately successful.
The rap mogul is notorious for guarding his private life. He quietly married his megastar wife Beyonce in 2008 and kept news of her pregnancy under wraps for four months until she unveiled her baby bump during an MTV awards show last month.
Star also quoted Andrews saying that Jay-Z gave Scott $1 million "to keep her mouth shut," and that she used the money to buy a house in Trinidad.
But Andrews told the News that Scott is now married to a professional basketball player, and that her new husband bought the house.
"The house wasn't purchased by Jay-Z. It was paid for by her present husband," he said.
